About Me

Making art is just another way of making sense of our lives.

Hi, I am Krittika and Artkrittique is my brainchild. I am a graphic designer and an illustrator based in New Delhi, India. I have been learning and teaching visual arts for the past 8 years. Over time, I have grown to develop and polish my creative vision and art style.

I hope to make art more tangible and more approachable to people. And therefore, in my artworks you would find warm colours and relatable ideas and an attempt to thread a common theme of finding joy and comfort in everyday things and situations. I like to experiment with different mediums once in a while, and am someone whose works reflect her unique perspective and ideas. I also love all things colorful and pattern-isc and believe that my Indian roots have played a massive role in shaping my art.

For example, the idea for the work ‘A Happy Place’ came to me when I saw people stepping out during the lockdown relaxation and finding respite in small outdoor gatherings.

Similarly, the idea for ‘An Emerald City’ came from observing how much our generation loves to be surrounded by plants.

My values involve collaborating and working closely with smaller and local businesses.

When not making art, you would find me enjoying a nice cup of coffee at a cafe while laboriously working on my laptop. But well, that was pre-pandemic! Now, I do the same at home, while taking the ‘crazy plant lady’ idea a tad bit too seriously.
